SolidWorks Designer
president January 19th, 2010
We are a small innovative family owned Agricultural OEM in Sycamore, Illinois. We will not pay to relocate so I want someone reasonably local. We have grown to the point where we need to start expanding our engineering staff. We are fast paced and small and not your typical corporate atmosphere. I am looking for a hardcore machine designer with a strong Solidworks background. A background in casting design, forging design, things with draft and parting lines, etc is a must. Also, you will be doing your own drafting so good drafting technique is important although we are not huge on all the latest standards. We use English hardware and ANSI. Old school standards, new school design ideas. Knowledge of machining is critical as is the ability to design machining and welding fixtures. This is not the sort of job where you will be engineer 1 of 50 working on some little corner of a project. It is an opportunity to get your hands on every aspect of a design, from creation to testing to manufacturing. We would prefer that you not have any previous employment at competitive Agricultural companies and that you have a 4 year degree in either mechanical engineering or physics from an American university. Competitive pay along with excellent health benefits are offered. I don’t have time to be taking lots of phone calls so please don’t call me. Respond to my email with a resume if you would like.
