Using 3D scan data effectively, and how to model curvy stuff from it.
By Ed Eaton | Sr. Industrial Designer | DiMonte Group Inc.
Ed has presented at SOLIDWORKS World several times.
This is Ed’s SWW2017 presentation.
So you have 3D scan data. Now what???
This session first explores the workflows and decisions required to effectively reference a 3D scan in SOLIDWORKS.
Then the second part uses the “Tucker Torpedo” case study to explore the root principles and best tools for modeling using the scan as your guide.
We will have the usual pizza and soft drinks for refreshments, along with a door prize drawing (if we have prizes to give away).
The meeting should adjourn around 8:30pm.
No RSVP necessary.
We will base the headcount on the average from previous meetings.
Looking forward to seeing the familiar faces along with any new members.
