Welcome to the Chicago SolidWorks Users' Group Website! The Chicago SolidWorks Users' Group provides a forum for learning and information exchange among Chicago area SolidWorks users.

The Chicago SolidWorks Users' Group, (CSUG), is a Not-For-Profit organization for Chicago area professionals involved in the use of SolidWorks.

Our group is composed mostly of engineering and industrial design professionals, but anyone interested in SolidWorks is welcome and encouraged to join.

In addition to the Property Tab Builder please bring your modeling problems, questions and issues to the meeting.  Also welcome are any tips/tricks that you would like to share with the group.  We will have a computer at the meeting running SolidWorks.  We will take turns trying to help each other with our issues.  Please come prepared to either participate with a problem or solution, or both.

“Gaming The System – Tricky Tricks for Modeling and Editing”

An exploration of unexpected and devious tricks for editing SolidWorks models, reorganizing history, and reverse engineering from scans/imported models.
Attendees will leave with some really useful techniques employing things like deliberately sabotaging features and creating place-holding geometry as work-arounds for vexing everyday problems.
This will be a trial run of Ed’s SolidWorks World 2012 presentation. Please feel free to provide Ed with feedback regarding his presentation.
